A brief time for prayer is held at 8:00 a.m. every Sunday in room 126. You can also join us on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month for prayer at 7:-00 p.m.

Information about our “Joyful Giving Capital Campaign” is located in the lobby. Prayerfully consider how God would like you to give above and beyond your tithes and offerings.

Marriage should be based on love, right? Bob and Pat Nowak will lead a series on The Five Love Languages. Based on the best-selling book by Dr. Gary Chapman. The class will be on Sundays, June 2-July 7, at 9:45 a.m.

If your bicycle is in need of a repair or tune up, please come by on Saturday, June 8, to SVBC. We will have bike mechanics here to help you from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
GRADUATION SUNDAY
All graduates, junior high and older, will be honored on Sunday, June 9. Parents, you are invited to bring your child’s framed picture to be displayed that day for your graduate. Please submit all framed pictures by Sunday, June 2, to the church office or Pastor Tim. All photos will be returned.
“WELCOME HOME BRUBAKER FAMILY” CELEBRATION!
Join us on Sunday, June 9, immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service for a lunch in Fellowship Hall to welcome home the Brubaker Family from Rwanda. We are serving hot dogs, chips, and more! We welcome you to donate any ready-to-serve side dishes.
BRUBAKER WELCOME HOME
On Sundays, May 25-June 9, the Mission Team will have baskets in the lobby for anyone who would like to purchase a gift card for the Brubaker family. It could be for gas, groceries, restaurants, movies, etc. Cash donations are also welcome (checks should be made out directly to Tim Brubaker). If you would like to help make their transition a little easier, this is a wonderful way to do it. Please note these gifts will not be processed through the church, nor are they tax-deductible.

BAPTISM SERVICE
We are having a service of baptism on Sunday, June 23, at the 11:00 a.m. service. Baptism is a sign of identifying with Christ’s death and resurrection. If you are ready to take this step of obedience please contact Pastor Dave at the church office, 847.256.1050.

“YOUTH CAR WASH” SUMMER CAMP FUNDRAISING EVENT
We will be having a “youth car wash” event here at the church on Saturdays, June 1 and July 13. Car wash hours are 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. The youth will be raising money for Crossings summer camp. Contact Pastor Tim if you are interested in participating.
YOUTH WORSHIP AND HOMELESS NIGHT
Join us for a worship and homeless ministry night on Sunday, June 9! We will take our worship to the homeless. We leave the church at 5:00 p.m. and return at 9:00 p.m.

SUMMER CAMP “CROSSINGS” JULY 26-31, 2013
Crossings youth camp is for students entering Grades 7-12 and graduates. A week at crossings is connecting with friends and Christ, tubing, zip lining, bazooka ball, messy games, hilarious skits, amazing worship and much more. Cost is $360. SVBC is going to Hillsong in Hoffman Estates at the Sears Centre Arena; tickets cost $24. Tickets can be purchased (no reservations) from Pastor Dave by June 9. Doors Open: 6:00 p.m.; worship starts at 7:00.
OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES
“HILDA’S PLACE” HOMELESS SHELTER MINISTRY
Volunteer to help serve dinner each month to the residents of Hilda's Place, a homeless shelter in Evanston. If you are unable to donate your time, Hilda’s Place still needs your donations! See our main bulletin board today for information regarding what items are needed to keep their kitchen running smoothly. Most items are inexpensive and available at the dollar store. DOOR OF HOPE OUTREACH MINISTRY FOR MEN
Men are invited to minister at the Door of Hope Mission in Chicago. Meet at church at 5:30 p.m. on the first Monday of the month. Call Phil Tom if interested.
