Senior Pastor - Contact
Dr. Edward C. Brown, Jr. is the senior pastor of the Skokie Valley Baptist Church in Wilmette, Illinois. Ed graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in education and Chicago State University with a master's degree in education. He also earned both a masters of divinity degree and a doctor of ministry degree from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, specializing in pastoral care of the congregation. Ed was formerly the assistant pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. Ed loves preaching and teaching God's Word and has been privileged to preach in many pulpits across the nation and in two countries in Africa. He is married, and he and his wife, Diana, have one adult daughter, Camille.

Adult Ministries Pastor - Contact
Dave oversees a dedicated team of volunteers who head up the various ministries which serve adults here at Skokie Valley. Our mission is to help people become committed followers of Christ. Dave received a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling and a Master of Theology in Practical Theology from the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has served in various pastorates as an associate and as solo pastor, most recently as the pastor of the Grace Community Church in Marinette, WI. Dave loves teaching the Bible-almost as much as he loves the outdoors. He and his wife, Gayle, have been married for over thirty years and have one daughter, Abigail Rose.

Youth Pastor - Contact
Tim Stern is the Youth Pastor at Skokie Valley Baptist Church. He is a graduate of Liberty University Baptist Seminary with a Master's Degree in Religion. He desires to see God's power harnessed in the lives of our young people and in the church. He was a Jr. high and student ministries pastor at in Ohio and also a senior youth leader for four years at "The Buckeye Ranch" a place for disadvantaged youth. He, his wife Katie and their son live in Morton Grove.
